Innovating With Applets - Simulations

Calling all teachers who are interested in collaborating on learning how to use science/math simulations and applets in their classrooms to create engaging lessons. In this session, there will be a short discussion on classroom management in a project based learning environment. Next, the rest of the session will focus on the use of applets to create dynamic learning opportunity for students to test hypotheses and develop higher order thinking skills.

This session targets all science teachers and math teachers who wish to learn to integrate inquiry based learning into their classrooms while leveraging the power of technology.

User Friendly:
Classroom management is user friendly but it is not "one size fits all!"- this is especially true in 1:1 classrooms.

Applets are designed to be user friendly but they should be checked beforehand to make sure that they operate correctly on your hardware. The interface must also be intuitive for students and the teacher.

Description:

In this session we will discuss classroom management in an inquiry based learning situation that is 1:1 in the context of using online applets in a 1:1 classroom.

How I've used it:

How you might use it:
